Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 13, 2026 · Contact: luis@luisbarragan.com

This Privacy Policy explains how Chore Agenda (“we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information when you visit choreagenda.com (the “Site”) and when you use the Chore Agenda apps for iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple TV (the “App”).

Chore Agenda is designed for families. Chores, kids, earnings, and sync data are used to run your household chart. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking SDKs for ads.

1. Who We Are

Chore Agenda is developed and operated by Luis Barragan.

2. When You Visit the Site

If you only browse the Site, we collect very little:

We do not use third-party advertising trackers on the Site. If we add analytics or cookies in the future, we will update this policy.

3. Information We Access in the App

Family chores and members

The App stores information you enter, including family member names and roles, chore titles and details, steps, schedules, assignees, earnings and ledger entries, device nicknames, and related preferences. This data is used only to run and sync your family’s chore chart.

Account and sync

To keep devices in sync, the App uses Sign in with Apple (or a family invite code) and Firebase Authentication. Household chore data is stored in Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore) for your family account so phones, Mac, and Apple TV stay current.

Notifications

With your permission, Chore Agenda can schedule local reminders and send push notifications (for example, parent Remind pings to a kid’s device, or alerts when a chore needs review). Push delivery uses Apple Push Notification service via Firebase Cloud Messaging. Device tokens are stored so we can send those family notifications.

Information stored on your device

Chore Agenda also saves preferences locally, including:

4. Where Your Data Is Stored

On your devices

Your data is stored locally using Apple’s SwiftData framework.

Firebase

When you sign in or join a family, chore data syncs through Firebase so every signed-in family device stays updated.

5. Purchases

Optional Family Unlock is processed by Apple through the App Store. We use RevenueCat to check entitlement status so the App knows whether Family Unlock is active. RevenueCat and Apple process purchase receipts under their own privacy policies. We never receive your full payment card information.

6. Information We Do Not Collect

We do not collect:

7. How Your Data Is Used

App data is used to:

8. Third-Party Services

Chore Agenda uses Apple services (App Store, Sign in with Apple, push notifications), Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Messaging / Cloud Functions), and RevenueCat for in-app purchase entitlement status. We do not integrate third-party advertising networks.

If you contact us by email at luis@luisbarragan.com, we will receive the information you include in your message solely to respond to your inquiry.

9. Data Retention

Family data remains in your Firebase household and on your devices until you delete it or leave the family. Push tokens and device records may be removed when invalid or when a device leaves the family. Purchase records are retained by Apple and RevenueCat as needed to provide entitlements. Site logs are kept only as long as needed for security and operations.

10. Your Choices and Control

You can:

11. Children’s Privacy

Chore Agenda is intended for families and may be installed on children’s devices under parental control. Parents create and manage kid profiles and chores. We do not knowingly market to children or collect personal information from children beyond what parents enter to run the chore chart.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of Chore Agenda after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
